My name is Jeremy Robertson. I am the custom knife maker and owner of Calavera Cutlery LLC located in San Diego County California.
I started crafting knives in 2008 as a hobby on my days off as an airline pilot. I fell in love with the trade. I have now been a full time maker since 2010.
I started off making fixed blades, draw filing in my kitchen. Then forging knives and tomahawks in my garage the old school way. I now make folders using modern materials such as titanium and powdered steels and using more modern methods of precision manufacturing.
The name Calavera is Spanish for "skull". There is an extinct volcano here in Carlsbad that was on my ancestor's ranch that the Vaqueros (Mexican Cowboys) called Calavera. It is known today as Calavera Hills.
